Vaulted ensemble for wine, parties and pleasure
The owner: "During the construction phase we would quite often go in just for the pleasure of it and to look forward to the finished article. Now that everything is complete, my husband and I regularly spend a few hours on a Saturday evening just enjoying being down here. It makes us feel very happy and comfortable and it doesn't really matter if - after a party - you leave the tidying and washing up until the next day or until you have a bit more time."
In a spectacularly isolated position at the foot of the Odenwald mountain range we had the opportunity to plan and construct a vaulted complex on a slope.
The wine cellar and the main house are separate buildings but together form a beautiful courtyard. The generously shaped double-winged portal opens into the entrance area with its cross-shaped vault and adjoining vaults on either side housing the kitchen and the toilet. Going down the staircase you enter the vaulted hall (ARCave). The room is ideally suited for parties and entertaining.
The room is also equipped with a projector, screen and Dolby surround sound making it the perfect home cinema in an ideal environment with a variety of lighting options.
The adjoining wine cellar houses everything necessary for sociable evenings in a separate climate zone.
... and those seeking peace and quiet find it here ...
