The barrel cellar has the shape of a roman vault with a width of 8.5 m, length of 35 m and a height of 4.75 m. The vault elements were assembled within three days.
The vault is natural and partly buried in the ground. The focus was on functionality. Its size allows a storage capacity of 180,000 litres distributed among 30 barrels with volumes of 4,500 to 10,000 litres.
The barrique cellar is spanned by an ARCasa cap vault. The rise is 0.8 m with an overall height of 4.00 m and 3.20 m straight walls. The base measures 4.5 x 25 m.
The elements were assembled in just one day. The ARCasa brick cap vault and walls are plastered and divided by sandstone pillars. The transition from straight to arched wall is formed by a sandstone cornice. Indirect lighting lends the room a warm atmosphere.
Reflected light from the down-up lights on the pillars impart a modern, elegant air.
The barrique cellar is not only a functional storage area for the noble wines in the Signum line, but, thanks to a glass front, also an attractive eye-catcher for customers in the salesroom.
