Hotel Krone Steinenbronn near Stuttgart

ARCarea interior construction, transforming the old vault cellar into a "wine library" by all tricks of the (building) trade. As it was, the old cellar was no longer fit for use in the modern restaurant business. So it was first refurbished, plastered with pure mineral chalk and equipped with a high-quality ventilating system. The floor was surfaced with the natural stone "Bianco Perlino antique", which harmonises perfectly with the chalk-white vault. The shelves were installed transversely on both sides of the narrow passageway and are - as in a library - accessible from both sides. This allows optimal usage of the space available as well as perfect order and organisation, indispensable in professional work. Special attention was dedicated to the entrance door as it always imparts to the visitor an impression of the importance of the room he is about to enter. It is made of the same high-quality oak wood as the shelves and - due to climatic requirements - has double dooring. The tops of the bricked wine shelves are made of the nodular limestone "Rosso Verona". To facilitate organisation, a sink of brushed stainless steel was installed. The indirect lighting of the wall spots "Downlight Stainless Steel brushed" lends the enchanting flair of a real wine cellar. As presentable treasure chamber for the hotel's top-class wine assortment and equipped suitably by nature with all the climatic advantages of a vault cellar, the room is now fully usable again. We would like to thank the Hornung family and the team of Hotel Krone for their excellent cooperation and trust in us!
